- There is no systematic response for foreign-owned firms seeking to establish a sales office in Virginia that provides information on key, initial market entry issues such as taxes, accounting, legal, risk management, market research, employee recruitment and real estate requirements.
- Some local economic development resources are in place, but availability of resources is not consistent across the Commonwealth.
Where We Can Be:
- Finding needed resources is easy for foreign companies wishing to open sales offices in Virginia.
2008 Initiative:
- Create a consortium of service providers that assist foreign-owned firms that open sales offices in Virginia.
